Friends walk 54 Miles from Kingsholm to Abitillery

A group of friends from Abitillery RUFC have completed a 54 mile walk from Kingsholm in Gloucester all the way to Abertillery in Wales.

Why? 

Ed Slater and Mark Williams were both diagnosed with MND in July 2022. In the face of adversity, two individuals were brought together by a shared love for rugby and an unexpected diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Despite the challenges that come with this debilitating condition, they are determined to turn their hardship into a force for good.

The friends and family of Mark set off from Ed's former club, Gloucester Rugby and walking to Mark's club, Abitillery, uniting the two friends and carrying them in their minds all for MND.
